Tricia Hale

I have been involved with Girlguiding since I was a Brownie aged 7. I am now a Guide leader with the unit that I was a member of. I have been lucky enough to hold district, division and county commissioner roles as well as that of county international advisor, CART for Suffolk and community development advisor. I am delighted to be chair of the region awards committee and know how important it is for all leaders to be appreciated. Not everyone can be awarded a Silver Fish however thanks badges and certificates, good service badges and county awards make the recipient feel special. It is great honour to read the citations submitted for approval and it never ceased to amaze me how many leaders go over and above the remit of their guiding role. Girlguiding plays an important role in so many people’s lives and without the great volunteers that we have in the region there wouldn’t be the fantastic opportunities on offer to the girls. Therefore, a little thanks goes a long way!
